A scenic, 'back to basics' summer 10k run in Garden Bay from Katherine Lake to Hotel Lake and back, passing Garden Bay Lake and Pixel Lake along the way. Details coming soon to www.foolsrun.com/4lakes/.
This is a new event Larry will be organizing — an off-road triathlon. First year was by invitation only (September 1st at Trout Lake); 2008 will be open to all.
Fun XC meet for all ages on the trails and campsite roads in Porpoise Bay Provincial Park. Bring the whole family. Race distances from 1k for 8 & Under, to 5.4k for open/masters. www.falltuneup.com
Second annual fun run on New Year's Day. Come to Porpoise Bay Park for a 5.4k run (3 simple loops of the park trail and campsite outer road — kids can do 1 loop or 2 loops), starting and finishing in front of the beach. Start time 12 noon. Will have a small entry fee in 2009, plus post-race refreshments. Enjoy a fun run to get your year started off on the right foot (or left foot!). Display clock will be set up and we will record times and places.
